With so many different “health drinks” and morning routines it’s hard to narrow down which one is right for you. I have tried several but I find myself jumping between these four drinks to get my morning started.
Sole Water, Baking Soda Water, Lemon Water, and Apple Cider Vinegar.
The reason I keep going back to these four drinks is because they are all great for your body, super simple and cheap to make! All of these drinks have great health benefits and they help start your day off right.
Sole Water is something that I touched on in my last post but I feel like it is something worth mentioning again. Sole water is a combination of Pink Himalayan Salt and water. This is a great way to start your day because it gives you a shot of over 80 minerals that are vital to your health. This extra pinch of salt will also allow your body to better regulate the water that you consume and help you maintain hydration throughout the day.
I would suggest that if you are a person that drinks a lot of water, like myself, this is a great option for you.
Sometimes we are so focused on staying hydrated that we forget about the important balance that salt plays on our bodies.
Benefits of Sole Water
- Balances pH
- 84 minerals
- Balances blood sugar
- Improves hydration
- Improves sleep
- Supports healthy weight loss
Making Sole Water
The website below is a great source on how to make Sole Water. After you make the initial batch, making the drink in the morning is very easy!!
Baking Soda Water
We all know that baking soda is helpful in cleaning but drinking baking soda?? It’s definitely not as popular as some morning drinks but I noticed the biggest change when I started adding a teaspoon of Baking Soda to my water. The main benefit that I see from adding Baking Soda to your water is that it alkalizes the body. A non- alkaline body can lead to serious disease. This method has also been shown to prevent kidney stones and UTIs.
The weird thing that I noticed from drinking Baking Soda water was that my head seemed clearer. I was more awake at work and seemed to accomplish more during my day…humm.
Baking Soda Water
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 cup of filtered water
Adding lemon to your water is great for everyone but I find it super beneficial for those people that don’t really like drinking water. It adds that extra flavor that might encourage them to up their water intake. Along with adding a nice flavor to your water, lemon has a lot of amazing health benefits.
- Boost metabolism
- Natural diuretic
- Natural anti-inflammatory
- Vitamin and mineral rich
- Detoxifies your body
- Alkalizes the body
Apple Cider Vinegar
Drinking Apple Cider Vinegar is just one of its many uses, it is also great for cleaning and body care. If you are fine with the kick that apple cider vinegar gives then I would suggest drinking it with just warm water to save time. For those who do not prefer the taste, you can add honey, lemon, and cinnamon to give it a more pleasant flavor. If you are looking to cut out caffeine, Apple Cider Vinegar is a great substitute. It can give you that extra boost in the morning that you need!
Apple Cider Vinegar is great for:
- Cleansing your kidneys
- Preventing sickness
- Promoting healthy digestion
- Promoting healthy weight loss
- Relieving heartburn
- Boosting immunity
- Lowering blood pressure
All of these morning drinks are great for your health and most of them share common benefits. I encourage trying one or all of these throughout your week and seeing if any of them work for you. Let me know what works for you! If you have tried any other morning detox teas I would love to try them!!
